Social values constitute the fundamental principles and moral standards that govern human behavior within a society. They provide a framework for distinguishing between acceptable and unacceptable conduct, thereby fostering order, stability, and mutual respect among individuals and groups. Values such as justice, equality, integrity, and compassion not only sustain interpersonal relationships but also guide institutions and policies in promoting the common good. Transmitted through cultural traditions, education, and social institutions, these values evolve in response to historical change and societal development, ensuring their continued relevance. In essence, social values serve as the moral foundation upon which societies are built, shaping collective identity and enabling cohesive social progress.
